Responsibilities
- Performing risk management for the company and its group’s operations.
- Develop and implement enterprise risk management framework, and partner with other business functions to ensure risks are managed within the Company’s risk appetite
- Reporting to and facilitating the Risk Management Committee on the risk management frameworks, and other relevant topics.
Job Duties
- As risk management officer, support the board and management in building and maintaining a strong risk culture.
- Collaborating with and serving group companies relating to risk management functions.
- Proactive engagement on risk/regulatory matters by collaborating with management, compliance, and internal audit.
- Coordinate and review responses on regulatory reviews or ad-hoc requests from government agencies.
- Preparation of Risk Management Committee reports and minutes, and presenting to senior management.
- Work with other functions and prepare ORSA and other reports as required by law and regulation.
- Participate/contribute in local governance committees/forums/working groups where relevant.
- Develop and manage risk management plans.
- Address risk areas in line with risk appetite as determined by the Board.
- Provide risk training to internal stakeholders.
- Identification and escalation of new and emerging risks.
- Implementing improvements to the existing risk management frameworks.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of risk management experience in an insurance company or insurance broker company in Thailand.
- Familiarity with risk management methodologies, reporting, and control and governance frameworks.
- Good knowledge of general insurance and broker regulations, business processes, market practices and IT systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and able to present complex sensitive issues to senior management, the Risk Management Committee, and the board of directors.
- Proficiency in business English and Thai.
- At minimum, university degree in related field; certification in risk management or compliance is desirable but not mandatory.
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Being highly organized, and able to multi-task, adapt, and prioritize in a dynamic environment
