Roojai and Hiscox have mutually agreed to terminate the sale and purchase agreement for Roojai’s acquisition of DirectAsia.
Both parties considered the transaction highly valuable and strategic by combining the two largest direct-to-consumer insurance players in Southeast Asia; however, the transaction could not be closed within the agreed time period.
Roojai will keep focusing on delivering simple, affordable, and reliable insurance to the over 40 million car owners in Indonesia and Thailand. These vibrant markets offer immense potential for expansion, innovation, financial inclusion, and community impact.
